Bérengère Lacroix is the director of the Selle Français Stud Book ; most important Sport Breeding association in France.
Agricultural engineer ; specialized in export and international management ; born in a breeders’ family ; she manages a team of 8 people to ensure the promotion and development of the Selle Français breed.
She was for 10 years working for IFCE (French Horse and Riding Institute) as project leader on the creation of a tool for genetic selection of equids based on SIRE functionalities (French central database), then on international data exchange in collaboration with WBFSH and FEI, and in charge of relations with studbooks and Foreign partners. She was in charge of the management of the UELN code database ; dealt with the european regulation and spreading information about obligation through European Stud Books by leading the World Horse Identification and Registration Data Exchange Committee.
Bérengère Lacroix held also the position of head of the office of horses imported in France and thus treated for example the registration of Selle Français horses born abroad.
