He is the Equestrian Manager of Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Organizing Committee from 2016. He is an executive at Japan Equestrian Federation for twelve years and the Secretary General up to 2017. He was born in 1946, graduated from Animal Production in 1969 and then graduated from Veterinary College of Hokkaido University in 1972.
He worked for Japan Racing Association (JRA) as a race horse veterinarian. In his JRA’s career he was a Director of Equine Affairs, General Manager of Chukyo Race Course and Equestrian Park etc. After retirement from JRA, he has been involved in equestrian sport. He was a Japanese team official at Beijing Olympic in Hong Kong, World Equestrian Games and Asian Games, etc.
He is the FEI’s National Head Veterinarian of Japan. In 2016 he was part of the IOC Observer Program at Rio Olympic and Paralympic. He is part of the team dedicated to the preparation of Tokyo 2020 to make it an unforgettable Olympic.
